Congrats Scott Turnbull – winning photograph.

Congratulations to Scott Turnbull, the winner of the Ski Telemark photo contest.

This photo is from February 2019 of Jeff Mann with Parka the Samoyed. Photo credit @scottturnbulltookthisphoto

After years of lamenting the lack of mountains in Ontario, photographer Scott Turnbull stopped complaining and started touring the hills close to home, finding the same joy in a 200-vertical-foot lap as you can in 2000 feet.

After one visit to the Limberlost ski hill near Huntsville, ON a few years ago, Scott quickly fell in with the burgeoning community of like-minded turn enthusiasts which has transformed into the West Wind Highlands Ski Touring Association (WWHSTA).
